I'm reading about how some items have been sold at ridiculously high prices just because they belong to famous people. For example: Napoleons toothbrush sold for $21,000 Hitlers car $150,000 Jackie Kennedy Onassis fake pearls sold for $211,500 and JFK's wooden golf clubs sold for $772,500. These sold not because they had any real value in themselves. It was only because of who owned them that makes them valuable.
Here is something that you and I should always remember; we belong to God
So because we belong to God we are of great worth and value. That means we have great dignity, worth, grace, glory and I could go on.
There is a purpose on your life because of God's ownership of you, does that surprise you? It shouldn't because the value He places on you comes from the sacrifice of His own Son Jesus Christ. It was for you that He died and rose again. The love and grace He lavishes on you is beyond your imagination. You should feel so secure and have a sense of joy unspeakable because of Him.
Have you ever wanted to be in an exclusive relationship? Well here it is, here it has been all along, with the Creator Himself. He exclusively looks after you, cares for you and loves you. All because of his mercy and grace. Do you feel like you don't deserve it? Well neither do I but that doesn't change the fact that it is there and so we shouldn't feel any guilt anymore. You are set free.
